Antique Round Prong Set White Sapphire Stickpin

Antique silver metal stick pin with round colorless (white) sapphire set in a gold plated prong setting. I originally thought the gem was a glass paste but it tested as a white sapphire, and after further viewing under a microscope it does appear to be natural.

Good condition with signs of age and wear including minor spots of verdigris on prongs.

Measures 2" long
Sapphire measures approx. 6 mm
